Mission Statement

Provide highly effective and expert engineering professionals to deliver long-term, on-site project services and short-term training and consulting services, enabling our clients to execute their projects more affordably and produce high-quality systems.

Business Philosophy

Delligatti Associates, LLC is a veteran-owned small business (VOSB) and an Object Management Group (OMG) member company that delivers effective long-term, on-site project services to clients with our team of expert systems engineering, software engineering, and IT professionals. Our core competency, model-based systems engineering (MBSE) training and consulting, enables our clients to transform their engineering practice into a state-of-the-art methodology that produces systems with fewer defects at a reduced cost. Delligatti Associates provides training in modeling languages, modeling methods, and modeling tools to help clients kick-start and develop an organic MBSE capability. We also provide customized consulting services to enable clients to plan and execute an MBSE project to meet their stakeholders’ specific needs, goals, and objectives. All engineering projects aim to deliver a successful system on time and within budget. Delligatti Associates helps clients achieve that goal with highly effective engineering professionals and model-based solutions.

Prior to founding Delligatti Associates, Lenny was a U.S. Navy officer and later a senior systems and software engineer with Lockheed Martin, serving as the MBSE lead for NASA’s Mission Control Center: 21st Century (MCC-21) project at Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.

Lenny earned his B.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and his M.S. degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Denver. He holds the INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification, the OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) Model Builder: Advanced certification, and the OMG Certified UML Professional (OCUP): Advanced certification.

Lenny is an active member of the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) and a voting member of the Object Management Group (OMG) SysML Revision Task Force (RTF). Lenny is passionate about engineering and helping engineers develop more effective ways to perform engineering. He has created and delivered hundreds of hours of classroom instruction to hundreds of systems and software engineers on the topics of UML, SysML, and MBSE, enabling many to earn OMG certifications and lead MBSE efforts on their projects. He has delivered SysML and MBSE presentations at INCOSE meetings, the No Magic World Symposium, and at American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Technical Symposia at Johnson Space Center.

Lenny is the author of the book SysML Distilled: A Brief Guide to the Systems Modeling Language, published by Addison-Wesley in 2013. Read Lenny’s blog post, “SysML Distilled. The Origin Story,” to learn how it all started.
